Condensation drying
Condensation drying in detail
Condensation drying offers an efficient and closed solution for drying clothing, shoes and protective equipment – without any exhaust air connection. It is particularly suitable for closed, poorly ventilated rooms such as cellars, ski rooms or workshops.
Functionality
In a Condensation drying unit, the humid air is drawn in from the interior. The moisture condenses into water, which is collected in a container or discharged directly. The dehumidified air is reheated and fed back into the cycle.
Technical features:
-
Air temperature: approx. 30-40 °C
-
Closed air circuit
-
No exhaust air system required
-
Condensation drainage via hose or container
Advantages & limits
Advantages:
- No exhaust air connection necessary
- Good energy efficiency
- Ideal for low room temperatures (from approx. 7 °C
- Regardless of the outside temperature or air quality
Limits:
- Slightly longer drying time than with warm air
- Condensate container must be emptied regularly
- Slightly more complex technology = higher maintenance costs
Areas of application
Typical applications:
- Hotels, mountain huts, ski cellars
- Fire departments & rescue services
- Basement, technical rooms or storage areas with little ventilation
- Working environments with low room temperature

Frequently asked questions
How does drying without exhaust air work?
The moist air is condensed inside the system – similar to a Condensation drying system for laundry.
Does the condensation water have to be drained manually?
Depending on the appliance: either manually from a container or automatically via a hose connection.
Is condensation also suitable for cold rooms?
Yes, the technology works reliably from a room temperature of approx. 7 °C.
